IRR Delay and Exemption Client Testimonial #3 - This NCO's Report Date Had Come and Gone
To whom it may concern: I was an active Army soldier who completed my active duty obligation including one full combat tour in Afghanistan. I then transferred into the IRR. While in the IRR I received mobilization orders for Iraq. I immediately panicked; I had no idea what to do. I thought of many different options and even tried dealing with the issue on my own. That turned out to be a mistake and the situation seemed impossible with no hope; all I knew was that I felt I couldn't go back. I was searching the Internet for help one day and Bill Meili's website came up. I called his office and his assistant said he was out of town on business. The next day, on a Saturday, Mr. Meili called me from the Boston airport on his cell phone to talk to me. I was immediately impressed with his dedication.
We then began to work on my case. We spent many hours on the phone talking about my issues and answering all my questions. Mr. Meili did all the work contacting the Army and getting my case transferred from the team that handles overdue soldiers to the delay and exemption team. He had the D & E department open a case for me and guided me through the process to put together a packet. There is no way I could have done that on my own because there are so many things that he knows. He also made a lot of phone calls to my case managers in St. Louis. Those phone calls and his hard work paid off. My case was handled very quickly and my exemption was granted. I tried handling the situation on my own because I had no idea there was help out there. If you are reading this you are taking a step in the right direction. I would not recommend trying to handle this on your own, I did and it almost cost me my chance for an exception. Bill is there to help and I was impressed with his extensive knowledge of the army system and his dedication to his clients. I truly owe my life to Bill Meili.
