Navigating the Daunting Task of Leaving HPSP, Bill Went Above and Beyond

Posted by Anonymous

September 4, 2026

I cannot recommend Bill highly enough. I came to him during an extremely complicated and stressful situation involving my Army HPSP commitment and the process of separating from the Army. The situation involved a number of complicated administrative and medical considerations, and I was unsure what options were realistically available to me.

Bill was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and, most importantly, genuinely invested in helping me achieve the best possible outcome. He helped me understand my rights and options, navigate the Army's requirements, and advocate effectively on my behalf throughout the process. His guidance and assistance were instrumental in ultimately allowing me to obtain an honorable discharge.

Beyond his legal expertise, Bill was patient and compassionate throughout what was a very difficult period. He took the time to understand the specifics of my situation, answered my questions thoroughly, and gave me confidence when the process felt overwhelming. I always felt that he was truly in my corner.

I am extremely grateful for Bill's help and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone dealing with a complicated military legal or administrative matter. His expertise, professionalism, and dedication made a significant difference in my life.

Leaving HPSP

My partner and I hired Bill when we made the choice for our family to separate from the Navy HPSP. We had spoken to other military law experts before talking to Bill, who told us this was an impossible task and that we would not be able to do so. Upon contacting Bill, he did not overpromise any results, but he helped us form the best strategy for exiting the program. Bill offers a package of hours for consulting on HPSP work and we hired him for this. At the end of the day, the Navy granted me an administrative separation just through communication with me. We never involved Bill in a formal way in the process, but his help was reassuring and necessary. He read all of my communications with the Navy to ensure they were written appropriately and made sure I was talking with the right individuals. Beyond the formal work Bill did for my partner and me, he checked in frequently and seems to be an all-around great person. Thank you, Bill.
